Launches and product updates
Jobber launched several new automated sales and marketing features to help home services companies (like landscapers, electricians, plumbers, painters, and cleaners) grow their businesses. Jobber is blazing the trail for Alberta tech startups and was recently recognized by Canadian Business magazine as the second-fastest growing software company in Canada. It’s a good reminder that big companies can be built outside SV/SF.
Coinbase continues to explore support for new digital assets. In August, they acquired Xapo’s institutional businesses, crossing $7 billion in assets under custody to become the world’s largest crypto custodian.
Dapper announced Flow, a fast, secure, and developer-friendly blockchain built to support the next generation of games, apps, and the digital assets that will power them.

Top Hat awarded scholarships worth a combined $100,000 USD to five exceptional North American students for their academic achievements and the positive learning environments they helped foster.
