Somehow, we’re already heading into the final stretch of 2026 (where did the year go?). This past quarter brought a lot of momentum across the Version One family — from new investments and product launches to some very well-deserved recognition.
As always, this is just a snapshot of what we can share publicly (there’s plenty more happening behind the scenes). Here are a few highlights from the quarter.
Fundraising and Accolades
Pilot Protocol launched from stealth with a $4.5M seed round led by Version One. The team is building the Network OS for Agents — infrastructure that helps AI agents discover, access and exchange information. We shared more about why we’re excited about what they’re building.
We also welcomed Mowito to the portfolio following its $3M pre-seed round. Mowito is bringing Physical AI to robotic arms: its technology can learn a task from a single demonstration, runs on standard robotic arms without hardware changes, and is already live on Fortune 500 automotive lines. Pretty incredible to see what the team is already doing on the factory floor (and they’re just getting started). Read more about why we invested.
And Rio Health raised a $4.5M pre-Series A round to continue building its quick-commerce platform for medicines and healthcare essentials in India. We were happy to lead the round and support the team as they make healthcare products faster and easier to access. We shared more about why we’re excited about Rio here.
A few portfolio leaders also earned some notable recognition this quarter:
Ada co-founder and CEO Mike Murchison was named one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 for 2026. Congrats, Mike!
Outreach was named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Revenue Orchestration Platforms for B2B, Q3 2026.
And Shellworks co-founder and CEO Insiya Jafferjee was named to The Independent’s Climate 100 list. Congratulations, Insiya!
Product Launches and Other News
Ada introduced Ada Computer, which expands what its AI agents can do beyond answering customer support questions. Agents can now use business systems, APIs, code and MCP tools to actually complete customer tasks (not just tell customers how to do them).
Coinbase now lets users participate in IPOs directly on the platform — the next step toward building what the company calls the “Everything Exchange,” a trusted platform to trade any asset at any stage of its lifecycle.
It was also a busy quarter for Dinari. The company became the first to bring regulated tokenized U.S. securities to investors and businesses in the U.S. And Dinari added support for Arc, bringing dShares to a fifth network alongside Ethereum, Avalanche, Arbitrum and Base.
Pilot Protocol kept building, too. The team launched Cosift, an open-source collaborative index for agents. AI agents often need the same web data again and again (and today, they largely have to go find it from scratch every time). Cosift gives agents a shared place to index that data for easier retrieval later, informed by the 400B exchanges that have already taken place on Pilot’s network.
The team also launched shell.online, which creates a live browser link for any terminal process. Think Google Docs, but for a coding session — you can share a session with a teammate or yourself and collaborate in real time.
TRIC Robotics is now treating more than 1,500 acres of commercial strawberries each year with a fleet of 15 autonomous robots. The robots operate nightly in California using UV-C light and bug vacuums to help growers manage pests and disease. It’s exciting to see the team continue scaling from some very cool technology into real-world agricultural impact.
And Moment Energy became the first battery storage provider in North America to achieve third-party verified non-PFE status and FEOC compliance for its new battery energy storage system — helping U.S. customers protect access to valuable federal Investment Tax Credits.
That’s it for Q3! We’re incredibly lucky to work with this group of founders and teams, and we’re looking forward to seeing what they accomplish as we close out the year.
