A few weeks ago, we hosted our second marketplace meetup in San Francisco. The night centered around data-driven marketplaces and we connected with and learned from many smart members of the marketplace community. We had a diverse group of people attending, from founders and product and growth leaders, to data scientists, data engineers, and investors.
We invited three speakers to share their experiences with data: Bala Ganapathy (Product at Instacart; previously at Adara) talked about the levers in logistics that can be pulled to grow supply and demand. Jamie Davidson (Product & Data Platform at Looker; previously at HotelTonight) spoke about the different stages of a company’s data journey. And, Jessica Zuniga (Data & Personalization at Tophatter; previously at LinkedIn) walked us through her experiences building an entire data pipeline on her own.
It was a fantastic evening and for those who weren’t able to join us, we’ll be sharing some of the key takeaways and insights in a series of blog posts in upcoming weeks.
