Version One quarterly news and COVID-19 response

This has been the longest quarter ever. Early January seems like an eternity ago. Countries, communities and households have been turned upside down. 

This time of year, we normally provide a portfolio update that highlights the various product launches, accolades and funding announcements from the past quarter. But before launching into “business as usual,” we’d like to share some of the ways in which the Version One family is helping people deal with these unprecedented times. 

Booster Fuels has set up pop-up contactless gas stations in parking lots of essential businesses and service providers in the SF Bay Area, Washington state and Dallas. All ordering and communication is done through boosterfuels.com/driveup, so customers never have to leave their vehicles. 

Clio is committing $1 million to help the global legal community navigate the challenges of COVID-19. You can read more about this initiative here

Figure 1 launched a COVID-19 clinical library enabling physicians to share their experiences and help colleagues around the globe. 

As companies suddenly adopted work-from-home policies worldwide, concerns about cyber-security loom large. In response, Kobalt shared some security tips for teams working at home

Scanwell Health is launching an at-home 15-minute COVID-19 test. You can read about their at-home test on TechCrunch and follow the progress in getting through FDA/EUA on Twitter

Top Hat has made their product available free of charge for the rest of the semester to active classes transitioning to their platform. Learn more about it here

As restaurant, grocery, convenience, and other foodservice operators respond to the coronavirus outbreak, operators are doing everything they can to help keep staff and customers safe. During this critical period, Zenput is offering multi-unit operators free use of the Zenput platform to implement their COVID-19 action plans through June 30, 2020.

And while the COVID-19 pandemic is front and center on everyone’s minds, business is still moving forward. Life is very different these days, but many of us still wake up each day and work to build a company, launch a product, help a customer, keep staff employed, etc. As such, we’d like to run through some of the “other” activities and accomplishments across our portfolio.

Nexus Mutual opened up their community forum to provide a better platform to critically analyse and discuss proposals, governance, claims assessment and DeFi risk.

Abstract now integrates with Notion. 

Celo kicked off its blockchain accelerator which will distribute $25k in contest prizes during eight weeks of a virtual bootcamp. 

Dapper launched a simulator for its upcoming Flow blockchain.

Outreach opened a London office
